The IYDC 2025 Workshop is open to Level 1 to 3 and will be held over 5-7 December 2025 in Aksra Theatre King Power Bangkok. All Solo competitors from Level 1 to 3 at the IYDC 2024 Live Competition will be automatically enrolled in the 2-3 days workshop. We encourage all competition participants in the Duo/Trio & Group items to enrol in this workshop as it promises to be a fun and enriching way to hone your dance skills and make new friends.

All workshop participants will work with our workshop faculty & adjudicators and perform in our Gala Finale Performance on 7 December 2025.

More about the Workshop

A panel of adjudicators will be appointed by IYDC. The Marking Criteria will be based on the Competitor’s Dance Techniques as well as Artistry.

The various aspects of Dance Techniques include Posture, Control & Coordination of Movements, Aesthetic Lines, Use of Space and/or Formations and the Versatility of Movement Qualities.

Artistry will include Musicality and the Effectiveness of the Performance in relation to the Choreography.

Dances will be assessed and judged by the adjudicators. Competition will be held in sessions based on age categories and genres. Performance date and time for each session will be announced after the sign up deadline.

Medal Awards

Through a panel of adjudicators, competitors are awarded based on their own achievements with Achievement Levels Gold, Silver and Bronze. Individual Medals are awarded for this. Certificate of Participation will be given to all competitors.

Achievement Levels are awarded based on marks attained:

Novice & General Solo, Duo/Trio & Group Award Banding:

Gold – 85 to 100 marks

Silver – 70 to 84 marks

Bronze – 55 to 69 marks

Golden League Solo Award Banding:

Diamond – 90 to 100 marks

Ruby – 85 to 89 marks

Sapphire – 75 to 84 marks

Top Scorer Trophy Awards

• Top Scorer Trophy Awards will be awarded to the top scorer for each age group and genre in the Solos Section.

Top 24 Solos

• The highest scoring top 24 solos will be invited back to the IYDC Gala Performance to compete again for Scholarships & Prize Awards.

Prize & Scholarship Awards for Solos

Overall Champion Soloists from Levels 1 to 3 = 1 week Scholarship at a Dance College + 300 SGD Cash Prize

*Scholarships to Dance Colleges may be extended to the following years depending on prevailing travelling restrictions.

*Scholarships awards are selected by the respective Awarding Dance Colleges.

* Depending on the total number of entries for each level and genre, total number of prize awards and scholarships will be given out at the discretion of the adjudicating and organising panel.

* IYDC reserves the rights to make changes to the Prize Awards at its discretion.

* A total of $25,000 SGD worth of Prizes and Scholarships were given out since 2021!

* A portion of the income in 2021 to 2024 had also been donated to World Vision’s Education Fund and Children’s Wishing Well Reach for the Star Fund.

Payment should be paid online via credit card. Entry Fees and Surcharges are non-refundable and non-transferable under any circumstances other than event cancellation by the organiser.

5. All non-solo participants are encouraged to enrol in the 2-3 days workshop.
